The Gin Trip (18+ only)

Thirty-five years ago, one of the most popular experiences for people to do in Whanganui was “The Wine Trip” to Holly Lodge onboard our sister ship Otunui.
With Otunui leaving the river in the late 90’s and the closure of Holly Lodge soon after, it spelt the end of an experience that many people have fond memories of.
We still hear about it almost every week, how people enjoyed travelling up the river all those years ago.

Well, we think it’s time to do something about that and make it a possibility once more.

We are delighted to offer a cruise to Papaiti Gin in the historic village of Upokongaro for a tasting session in the distillery, accompanied by some delicious nibbles.
